Rothbury Festival Live Broadcast Reminder

Our friends at iClips are the guys on location bringing us another great festival this weekend. Each production they have done this season always gets a little better and this one looks like it’s off to a great start. I just got done watching the Wailers set and both sound and video quality were excellent. In between stuffing your face and watching fireworks today try and check out a few sets. Today is 311, Mickey Hart Band, Widespread Panic, Railroad Earth, Tea Leaf Green and The Biscuits…..pretty solid 1st day.

2008 Year of the Live Music Webcast

I’ve been saying I think the market is huge for music fans that can’t make it out to shows. The music industry is in search for new revenue streams but up till now live music webcasts have been slowed by three major roadblocks having to do with technology, audience and record labels. In a great article Wired says all 3 obstacles will give way and 2008 is the year of the webcast.

Tom Petty Playing Super Bowl

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will be playing the half time show on February 3rd in Phoenix.

In light of the news I’m reposting this link from last week. Wolfgang’s Vault is streaming Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers from March 3, 1980 at the Hammersmith Oden in London.
